on an otherwise cloudy day
it doesn’t take long to say
hello to a friend
who may be at wits end
the smallest gestures can make us smile
and warm our hearts for more than a while
it’s hard work to cut someone down
and otherwise cause a frown
but so much easier to praise
lifting spirits for hours and days
take time out to compliment a friend
