I’ve already recently written some fiction taking place in a forest for Unusual Ethnic Customs, so I figured maybe an acrostic might be better instead. I wrote it in my typical fashion with a pattern of syllables and rhymes, sort of like a previous work I did a few years ago in The Darkness (although with a vastly different tone).
Foliage abounds
Outside the realm of man
Retreat for a weary soul
Enter, escape, become whole
Stay as long as one can
The tremendous sounds
Another acrostic winner. Some of the group were impressed with my combination of the rhyming and syllable structure. I’m thinking of reading “The Darkness” and/or “Friends” for everyone at the next meeting in two weeks.
